2 wins, 2 defeats: Summary of Liverpool's pre-season so far
Liverpool have played four pre-season friendlies so far this season. Let's look back at them as we are just one week away from the start of the new season.
1) Liverpool 0-4 Manchester United
Not the best performance from the Reds in front of goal. A lot of promising moves around the final third but the shot was lacking and United were at their best, easily getting past our young defence.
2) Liverpool 2-0 Crystal Palace
14 shot attempts with nine on target and 68% possession - it was a dominant win for the Reds as Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah scored the goals.
3) Liverpool 5-0 RB Leipzig
Salah opened the scoring and Darwin Nunez announced his Liverpool arrival in the second half, netting four goals. It was a ruthless display from the Reds, who could have easily scored a few more.
4) Liverpool 0-1 RB Salzburg
The Reds attacked and controlled the game well but as was the case against United, the finishing was off and the keeper had an excellent game, stopping seven shots on target.
