Why Sterling becomes as Chelsea's priority ahead of Dembele: revealed
Over the past few days, every major news outlet has reported that Chelsea are seriously interested in Raheem Sterling whose contract with Man City expires in a year.
Previously, Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele was the player mentioned most frequently as a Chelsea target for the summer window.
However, according to The Telegraph and Gianluca Di Marzio, the Blues have doubts over the Frenchman's injury record.
Last season, he made just 21 appearances in the league after missing five months with a knee injury. Back in the 2019/20 campaign, he only played five times in the league due to an array of issues.
That said, it's not necessarily a binary choice between Sterling and Dembele whose name is still on the table, and it remains to be seen if he extends his deal with Barcelona or leaves as a free agent.
Thomas Tuchel who enjoyed working with Dembele at Borussia Dortmund would still be happy to reunite with him.
