Why Real Madrid had to pay extra €20m for Tchouameni? Explained

In the beginning, Real Madrid's plan was to pay €60m plus bonuses for Aurelien Tchouameni.

However, the Merengues had to add an extra €20m to the offer because of the competition for the player.

As per reports, Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were also interested in the midfielder. The Parisians even offered more money than Madrid but Tchouameni only wanted to join us.

The 22-year-old has joined us on a six-year contract. Including add-ons and taxes, the transfer will cost the Whites a total of €116m.
