'We wanted the trophy back so much': Salah open up after Champions League defeat
Mohamed Salah was unable to help Liverpool beat Real Madrid as the Reds lost 1-0 in the Champions League final.
The Egyptian King has broken his silence post the game as he sent a message to the fans on Twitter:
"I cannot express in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool but in the end we couldn’t.
"I cannot thank the fans enough for your support. It has been a very long season but a part of me wishes the next one starts again tomorrow."
Salah has confirmed that he will be at Liverpool next season whatever happens with his contract extension. We can only hope that he is able to lead the team to another major title.
