"Karim Benzema hopes to face us (Brazil) in the World Cup final but I don't think it will work for him," Vinicius Junior has said jokingly.
"Me and Benzema hope we don't face each other before the final, we want to face each other in the final and then, let the best win."
Both Brazil and France have qualified for the 2022 World Cup and have been drawn into Group D and G respectively. Thus, the only way for them to face each other is to reach the final.
Benzema and Vinicius have never faced each other on the football pitch.
