REVEALED:Man United And Chelsea Paid The Most To Injured Players In EPL Last Season
Manchester United and Chelsea have been revealed to be the club that spent most on injured players in EPL last season.
Chelsea endured a lot of injuries last season, with stars such as Ben Chilwell, N'Golo Kante, Christian Pulisic and Mateo Kovacic missing games.
Injury reviewer for the Premier League, Ben Dinnery, has shared his findings over which club had to pay the most to injured players during last season.
Chelsea ranks second on the list, with the Blues having to pay around £18m to injured players throughout the season.
Dinner also adds that Chilwell was paid £4.9m - he had the 'costliest injury' of the 2021/22 season, missing the entirety of the second half of the campaign.
Manchester United ranked top of the list as they spent a whopping £25.7m for sidelined players. Here is the graph illustrating how much each club had to pay their injured stars.
