Real Madrid close to extending Benzema contract
Real Madrid and Karim Benzema are close to agreeing on a new contract, Marca's Jose F. Diaz reports. The new deal will run until 2024.
Both Florentino Perez and Carlo Ancelotti consider the Frenchman untouchable and expect him to remain the starting forward next season despite his age. For this reason, the club is in no rush to sign a new striker.
In the 2021/22 season, the 34-year-old recorded 44 goals and 15 assists in 46 matches for Real Madrid.
