Pogba: I want to show Man United they made a mistake in making me wait for new contract
Speaking about how contract renewal talks broke down with Man United, Paul Pogba said in his Pogmentary: “My thought process is to show Manchester [United]that they made a mistake in waiting to give me a contract.
“And to show other clubs that Manchester had made a mistake in not offering me a contract.”
Pogba was offered the most lucrative contract among all interested parties by United, with the Red Devils reportedly ready to give him an extension with a £300,000-a-week salary.
The Frenchman had the offer on the table for a year, but decided against signing it as he deemed it not to be good enough.
Now, Pogba is likely to join Juventus next month but receive almost half the £15m-a-year wages he used to get at United.
