Pep Guardiola's tactical plan for Erling Haaland at Manchester City
Manchester City will finally have a proper no.9 next season after signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
According to The Athletic, who cite sources inside the Etihad, Pep Guardiola's plan for the 20-year-old forward 'is not overly complicated'.
Rather than applying any major tweaks to Man City's style of play, the Spaniard reportedly wants the latest arrival to 'adapt his own game to fit his new team'.
Man City played without a dedicated no.9 throughout the entire 2021/22 campaign following Sergio Aguero's departure on a free transfer in the summer of 2021 to join Barcelona.
