Pep Guardiola: 'Barca Can't Do Great Things ... Everyone Has To Accept It'
"I hope everything goes well for them but the situation they have cannot do great things," Pep Guardiola told Mundo Deportivo as he reflected on Barcelona's current state of affairs.
"There are moments in history, everyone has to accept it, when the situation is It is and sometimes going with a low profile will help them rise very quickly.
"The expectations, because of the situation that it is, not because of the lack of quality of the coaches, the players or the board of directors...
"The perception that I have is good, but we must go calmly. Everyone knows that if the situation isn't good you can't make big signings.
"You have to think about winning the next game and not talking about big things."
Barcelona are going through economic difficulties and can't even register new signings Christensen and Kessie because of La Liga's financial rules.
However, the board is working to raise money through sponsorships, selling Camp Nou naming rights as well as other Barcelona assets. It is also expected some outgoing transfers will happen this summer.
