Shirt numbers potentially available to new Barca signings
Barcelona are planning a squad revolution this summer, with many players expected to join and even more expected to leave.
Even if Barca sign new names, they cannot offer them jersey numbers as all options are taken (first-team players in La Liga can have a jersey number between 1 and 25).
However, several numbers will free up after July 1 when the transfer window opens. We've picked those players that are either certain to leave or have reportedly agreed to their departures.
No. 6 - currently belongs to Riqui Puig, the midfielder wants to leave
No. 7 - Ousmane Dembele's contract expires on June 30 and it looks like he will leave the club
No. 8 - Barca will reportedly not offer Dani Alves an extension, with the current deal expiring on June 30 as well
No. 11 - the Catalans will not trigger Adama Traore's buyout clause
No. 13 - Neto wants permanent game time elsewhere; the number is traditionally reserved for goalkeepers
No. 17 - Luuk de Jong will not continue at Camp Nou beyond his loan
No. 21 - Frenkie de Jong appears set to join Manchester United, he's already given his okay
No. 22 - Oscar Mingueza is expected to be sold
No. 23 - Samuel Umtiti is another player that Barca will look to offload
