MARCA's controversial cover attributes Madrid's success to African players
Spanish media outlet Marca - have shown their insensitivity once again. This time, they attributed Real Madrid's success to signing players of African descent - this was clearly highlighted in their recent newspaper cover.
The controversial masthead comes with six black Real Madrid players pictured - all of whom are of African descent.
Benzema (Algeria), Alaba (Nigeria), Mendy (Senegal), Antonio Rudiger (Sierre Leone), Camavinga (Angola) and Tchouameni (Cameroon) all have African roots.
However, making it seem like they're only Africans while ignoring their adopted nationality is insensitive and racially offensive.
Not long ago, Marca labeled Alaba the 'black Sergio Ramos.'
