Man United 'preparing offer' to sign Lisandro Martinez from Ajax
According to De Telegraaf's Mike Verweij, a tier-one source, Manchester United are 'preparing an offer' to sign Lisandro Martinez after failing to get Jurrien Timber from Ajax.
The exact amount of the bid is unknown at this point but Arsenal, who are also interested in Lisandro, are reportedly willing to pay €30 million for his services.
The centre-back, 24, has been a mainstay in Ajax's defence over the past couple of seasons. Last term, he played 36 times across competitions as the Dutch giants conceded just 19 goals.
Lisandro can also contribute on the other side of the pitch, evidenced by his tally of one goal and three assists in the Eredivisie.
If Eric Bailly or Phil Jones is allowed to leave Old Trafford this summer, having a young player like Lisandro would be ideal for Erik ten Hag.
