Lacazette leaves Arsenal as free agent, return to Lyon 'imminent'
Arsenal have confirmed that Alexandre Lacazette will leave the club as a free agent when his contract expires on June 30.
"Laca has been a fantastic player for us," manager Mikel Arteta said.
"He’s been a real leader on and off the pitch and has been a very important influence to our younger players.
"His commitment with us has been exceptional and we wish him and his family success and happiness."
According to Fabrizio Romano, Lacazette has already reached a verbal agreement over a free transfer back to Lyon, and his return there is now imminent.
