Klopp plans to use Fabio Carvalho in a more attacking role initially: Pearce
Liverpool completed the signing of Portuguese midfielder Fabio Carvalho this summer along with Darwin Nunez and Calvin Ramsay.
According to James Pearce of The Athletic, Klopp intends to play Carvalho in a more forward position in the initial stages of his Liverpool career.
His long-term future is still expected to be in the midfield, however with the arrival of Darwin Nunez, Klopp can now be more unpredictable with his set-up going for a 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 formation as well, using Carvalho in behind the striker when required.
The squad is set to report for pre-season training next Monday and will leave for their pre-season tour to the Far East, 5 days after that.
