Juventus considers Werner as replacement for Morata
Juventus are emerging as a potential suitor for Chelsea forward Timo Werner, according to Tuttosport.
The Italian media outlet claims that the Serie A club is considering Werner as a potential replacement for Alvaro Morata.
The ex-Blue is finishing a two-year loan spell at Juventus and while the club is prepared to buy him out, they view Atletico Madrid's €35m asking price as excessive - especially after paying €20m for the loan.
If Juventus fail to secure a discount on Morata, they might switch to other targets, including Werner and Gabriel Jesus of Man City.
Werner is one of many Chelsea forwards whose futures at the club are in doubt after a less than impressive season.
The 26-year-old has only scored 10 goals in the Premier League since joining Chelsea two years ago. His overall tally across all competition equals 23 goals.
