Erik ten Hag introduces 4 major training ground changes at Man United — explained

A group of Manchester United players reported back to Carrington on Monday as Erik ten Hag's era at the club gets underway.

The Dutchman has wasted no time as he attempts to change the culture at Old Trafford, swiftly introducing four major changes to the training regime.

Grass length
Ten Hag has insisted that the grass at the Carrington training centre was cut precisely to 15mm in order to allow for quicker passing.

New drills
The Dutchman has instilled a new training drill — a game of 11 against zero. The exercise is designed to 'ensure that every player knows their role and what they have to do within the team structure'.

Extra sessions
The 52-year-old has insisted on having double sessions as soon as the fitness checks were complete. He new manager wants the players to be in the best shape possible.

Bonding meals
Under Ralf Rangnick, the players were allowed to eat wherever and whenever they wanted at Carrington. Ten Hag, however, has insisted on the team and the staff dining together in the training ground canteen.
