Brazil coach compares Vinicius to 2014 version of Neymar, explains why

"We were in training, I told Vini: 'You are the Neymar of 2014'. Because at Barcelona and at the national team, Neymar played on the wing at that time. Today he's in the centre," Brazil national team's coach Tite has said, as per Marca.

Neymar did play mostly on the wing in his first season in Europe, and that makes him similar to the current version of Vinicius.

If we are talking about output, though, the current version of Vini beats Neymar's first year in Europe.

In his first year at Barca (2013/14), Neymar recorded 15 goals and 15 assists in 41 matches. Vini, though, got 22 goals and 20 assists in 52 games this term.
