According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona had talks with Man United over the Frenkie de Jong transfer deal on Monday.
The Red Devils have verbally agreed to pay €65m for the Dutchman, but that isn’t enough.
Barca have made it known that they would need the complete package to be around €85m – which could include add-ons.
The two clubs share a very good relationship and are continuing talks, with an agreement getting closer and closer.
Frenkie has also accepted his fate and is negotiating personal terms with the Red Devils.
Barca are hoping to conclude the deal quickly, so that they can use the funds to boost their own summer transfer budget.
