Despite being only 21 years old, Danilo is already a regular starter at Palmeiras. In his two years with the first team, the defensive midfielder has already made 109 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists.

This year alone he's started in 24 matches out of the 26 he played for the Brazilian side.

2. Possible price-tag

Danilo is valued at €22m by Transfermarkt. However, he could be available for a fee of around €20-25m. The fee is significantly lower the that of the other midfielders on Barca's wishlist.

3. Competition from another European club

Besides the Catalans, Monaco are also interested in Danilo. They see the 21-year-old as a replacement for Aurelien Tchouameni, who recently joined Real Madrid. They are willing to move fast to sign the midfielder.
