AS Roma Reportedly ‘Offered’ The Chance To Sign Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale’s representatives have offered AS Roma the chance to sign him as a free agent in the summer, claims Calciomercato.

However, a potential stumbling block in the deal is that the Serie A club can’t afford to pay Bale the wages he received at Real Madrid.

The Welshman was reportedly on £550,000-a-week wages at Madrid and will have to take a substantial pay cut for AS Roma to get him.

Jose Mourinho would love to sign someone like Bale with Henrikh Mkhitariyan set to leave the club in the summer.

But, Gareth will have to take a pay cut and fit into Roma’s demands if he wants his next challenge to be in Italy.
