According to Circa 15,000 celebrating fans were waiting at the Milan office when the team bus eventually arrived back and Zlatan Ibrahimovic stepped out holding the Serie A trophy above.

AC Milan won their final game of the season, 3-0 away to Sassuolo, and obtained the Scudetto for the first time since the 2010-11 campaign.

The ceremony, then, took place at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia and it took numerous hours to drive back to Milan.

They came at Casa Milan at well past 000.30 am local times, with Ibrahimovic sitting in the front seat holding the Serie A trophy.

While 18,000 got tickets for the big match, another 15,000 assembled at Casa Milan to cheer the squad back.

Ibrahimovic got out on foot holding the trophy over his head for all to see.

Well, past 11 am Ibra took the mic and shouted in more broken Italian than usual: “This would not have been obvious without you. I tell you, Milano isn’t Milan. Italy is Milan! Forza Milan always!”
