Lionel Messi has been unveiled as the new Saudi Arabia tourism ambassador, Arab News reports.
The PSG forward has flown to Jeddah earlier this week, and that was photographed by the official social media accounts of the Saudi authorities.

Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb has tweeted: "I am pleased to welcome Lionel Messi to Saudi Arabia. We are excited for you to explore the treasure of the Red Sea, the Jeddah Season and our ancient history. This is not his first visit to the Kingdom and it will not be the last."
Messi had been at Jeddah before at least once: in 2020, the city hosted the Spanish Super Cup, and Messi was a part of the Barcelona team that participated in it.
Last year, reports emerged that Cristiano Ronaldo was offered a $6m per year contract to become the face of Saudi Arabian tourism. However, he has turned the offer down.
