Manchester Utd Boss Erik Ten Hag Targets Chelsea Midfielder N'golo Kante For Man United
Erik ten Hag has identified N'Golo Kante as one of the midfielders he'd like to sign for Manchester United, reports the Daily Mirror, a tier-three source.
The Chelsea star, 31, has a year left on his contract and is viewed as an 'attainable target' by the Red Devils.
Kante has played a key role if Chelsea's Premier League and Champions League triumphs but the club do not have a policy of giving renewed long-term deals to ageing stars.
The Daily Mirror claims that Ten Hag feels Kante would be a great influence on the youngsters at Old Trafford.
Chelsea is reportedly one of the frontrunners to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United. If Rice joins, it would make sense for the Blues to sell Kante for a sizeable fee.
Kante has appeared in over 100 games for club and country over the last two seasons and is certainly a great option.
However, it's high time United steer away from signing older players and invest in bringing in youngsters with the hunger to win at all costs.
