It's Not A Risk': Koeman Gives Reasons To Play Youngsters

"I think it's not a risk because a 20-year-old can improve and a 32-year-old surely can't. We have this habit of putting young people in," Ronald Koeman has said, as quoted by Diario Sport.

"All the youngsters we have given the opportunity to, the last time I was at Barcelona with Pedri, Gavi, Nico and a few others, it's because they are talented. They have quality. And with more experience, these types of players are going to improve easily."

Koeman certainly gifted their first opportunities to many youngsters at Barca. Pedri and Gavi have established themselves as regular starters under him. However, it is also true that he relied on players like Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets during his time at Camp Nou.
