'It's Like Having Ferraris In The Garage': Klopp Praises Team Performance Against Southampton
"I'm so happy with the performance, it's quite touching. It's like, wow! These boys! It's like having Ferraris in the garage," Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports as he was praising the players who stepped up for the Southampton win.
"I never had a group like this. Because we win most of the time, there are not a lot of things you can argue about (in terms of team selection).
"But there are two opportunities how you can deal with it — you give up or you just play your role in this group, and this group pushes each other constantly.
"In the end, it is outstanding and tonight is special because we came here and did what we did, and it worked out because of the boys.
"If it had not worked out, it would have been 100 per cent my responsibility, now it worked out and the boys should be read off that."
Klopp made nine changes for the Southampton game after a gruelling 120-minute FA Cup final against Chelsea just three days before.
After Southampton took the lead early, Liverpool fought back and took three points. That means that the title race goes down to the wire - even though the Reds will need help from Aston Villa against Man City.
