Head Of Goalkeeping Leaves Chelsea After 15 Years
Christophe Lollichon who heads the goalkeeping department has announced that he is departing the club after 15 years.
"After 15 years at Chelsea FC, it’s time to announce that I am leaving the Blues," the Frenchman tweeted.
"From 1st team goalkeeper coach to working with the keepers on loan and the recruitment dept, being a part of the club’s success has been an honour.
"Thank you to the fans & everyone at the club."
Lollichon helped with Petr Cech at Rennes, before the Czech keeper made a move to Chelsea in 2004. Three years later, Lollichon made the same move and has been at the club ever since in different roles, being promoted to the head of goalkeeping in 2016.
He was vital in the signing of Edouard Mendy - it was Lollichon who identified him as a conceivable mark in 2018 and stayed his admirer until the transfer in 2020.
