Granit Xhaka: 'We Don't Deserve Champions League Or Even Europa League
Arsenal took a major blow to their top-four hopes last night as they were beaten 2-0 by Newcastle.
The defeat means that Chelsea has qualified for the Champions League, while Spurs only need a point against relegated Norwich on the final day of the season to qualify.
Arsenal's Granit Xhaka admitted after the game, that Arsenal did not deserve to qualify for the Europa or Champions League with that sort of a performance.
“Newcastle deserved to win the match, they were much better in every department. We had nothing.
“We were extremely poor. We know that’s how it started (a foul throw from Taveres). This performance is nowhere near the level required for ChampionsLeague.
“We don’t deserve the champions league. We don’t even deserve the Europa league. I don’t know why we didn’t listen to the coach. It’s not about age. If your 18are or 35. If you’re not ready, if you don’t have the balls, stay at home. Sorry to the fans.”
