Dembele agents change stance on Barca future as player wants to stay
Unlike in December, Ousmane Dembele's agents are open to negotiating a new deal with Barcelona, Cadena SER's Santi Ovalle reports.
The main reason for it is the player's desire to continue at Camp Nou. Dembele has informed the club that he is open to a smaller salary than he would get at other clubs. The 24-year-old is happy under Xavi and wants to continue.
The Catalans are looking for formulas to get closer to their demands. The last meeting between the parties was positive, although a total agreement is still not close.
Paris Saint-Germain are among the clubs keeping a close eye on Ousmane's situation. Chelsea contacted him in January and it's possible they'll go it again once new leadership takes charge. Spurs were interested as well but Dembele didn't consider them as an option.
This term so far, Dembele has played 28 games for Barcelona, scoring two goals and providing 11 assists.
