Cristiano Ronaldo threatened to leave Man United if Rangnick stayed
It appears that Cristiano Ronaldo was less than impressed with Ralf Rangnick's appointment as an interim manager last year.
According to ESPN FC, a tier-two source, the Portuguese threatened to leave Manchester United if the German was offered the job full-time.
Insider Mark Ogden claims that the 37-year-old had 'made it clear by January' that he would quit if Rangnick was to stay as permanent manager.
However, Ronaldo is believed to have a much better opinion about Erik ten Hag. Cristiano is now expected to stay for another year to work under the Dutchman.
