Chelsea Secure A Third-Place Finish Despite A 1 -1 Draw With Leicester

Chelsea got one point from their home game against Leicester thanks to Marcos Alonso's volley at the end of the first half.

As a result, the Blues have a three-point advantage over Tottenham who are currently fourth in the table.

As per the Premier League rules, if the teams are equal on points, their position is determined by the goal difference.

Chelsea's goal difference is +42, while Tottenham's is only +24.

It means that Spurs would need a 16-goal swing in their favour to leapfrog Chelsea. As it should not be possible, we can safely say that the Blues are finishing third this season.
