Bayern CEO Kahn Slams Lewandowski: "Statements Like That Don't Get You Anywhere"

Robert Lewandowski’s comments on Monday, in which he claimed his time at Bayern Munich is over, have not gone down well with the club.

After that, Bayern’s CEO Oliver Kahn reacted to it and told Sport1: “Lewandowski? I can’t tell you why Robert chose this path. Statements like that don’t get you anywhere. Robert became a world footballer here twice the time.

“I think he should know what he has at Bayern. Appreciation is not a one-way street.”

It’s quite clear that Bayern is still not willing to let go of their star striker, despite him making it publicly clear that he wants to leave.

Barcelona has even reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign Lewandowski next season, but will now find it extremely hard to convince Bayern to sell him in the summer.
