African shamans: Why is Yaya Toure trending after Pep Guardiola crashes out of Champions League

Former Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure is currently trending on Twitter after Manchester City and Pep Guardiola (his former club and coach) got knocked out of the Champions League.

It's an open secret that Yaya and Guardiola do not see eye to eye both at Barcelona and Man City.

It's so bad that the Ivorian's agent came out to place a Champions League curse on Guardiola back in 2018 over the way he treated Yaya.

“Pep turned all Africa against himself," the agent said.

"I’m sure that many African shamans in the future will not allow Guardiola to win the Champions League.

"This will be for Guardiola an African curse. Life will show whether I am right or not.”

Fans on Twitter are always quick to remember that 'curse' every time Guardiola gets booted out of the Champions League.
