Xavi reveals how he felt seeing Eintracht Frankfurt fans take over Camp Nou in Europa League clash

Barcelona manager Xavi has revealed how he felt seeing over 30,000 Eintracht Frankfurt fans take over Camp Nou and help them knock out Barcelona from the Europa League quarter-finals.

He said: “As I left the hotel, I immediately realized that something was not right. They took everything from us, we felt robbed in our own home.

“Everything went wrong. It was a fateful night in every way. It started and ended badly.”

Barca were stunned to see so many Frankfurt fans turn up at Camp Nou for their Europa League quarter-fianls second leg. It allegedly happened because many of the La Liga clubs’ members sold their tickets to the fans and allowed them to take over their seats.

UEFA are reportedly set to sanction both Barca and Frankfurt for allowing this to happen, as only 5,000 away seats were allotted, and traveling fans aren’t allowed to sit anywhere apart from a designated away section in such games.
