Ten Hag to be given £200m budget for ‘complete squad overhaul’ - 12 players could be allowed to leave
Erik ten Hag will be given prominent resources to be able to do a complete overhaul of the Man United squad, claims the Mirror.
The Red Devils are ready to give the Dutchman a £200m transfer budget in the summer window to make signings.
On top of that, he will be allowed to make major changes to the current squad and as many as 12 players could be let go.
The likes of Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, and Lee Grant will be allowed to leave after their contracts expire this summer.
On top of that, Ten Hag could be allowed to sell the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, and Alex Telles if he doesn’t want them in his squad.
Harry Kane and Declan Rice remain prominent summer targets for the Red Devils, while moves for Ruben Neves and Darwin Nunez are also being considered.
Ten Hag is expected to be officially announced as United’s next manager soon, but will only formally take charge once this season is over.
