Ten Hag 'doesn't want' full power at Man United - his wishes revealed

Erik ten Hag has assured Man United’s board that he doesn’t wish for full power over everything related to the team after he takes over as the manager, claims Fabrizio Romano.

Instead, the Dutchman wishes to work together with the hierarchy to build a stronger future going forward.

Ten Hag also wants to make sure and avoid any more transfer mistakes that have haunted the club in recent years.

For example, he doesn’t want them to make a signing like Donny van de Beek – who has barely featured for United since arriving from Ajax in 2020.

Ten Hag wants to discuss potential incomings in the summer with the board, convey the players he wishes to sign and work together to get them.

The Dutchman also wants to have a say on potential outgoings and work with the hierarchy in deciding which players should be let go.

Ten Hag is expected to be announced as the new manager very soon and start his duties as United manager once the current season is over.
