Pique's role and earnings in Spanish Super Cup being moved to Saudi Arabia revealed
According to El Confidencial Gerard Pique's company Kosmos was a key player in the Spanish Super Cup being moved from Spain to Saudi Arabia.
The defender's right-hand man at Kosmos, Ferran Vilaseca, was involved in signing the agreement that takes the Super Copa to Saudi, with Kosmos receiving a commission for the transaction.
The contract would see Pique's company pocket €24 million in six years.
Pique was not supposed to be directly involved in the negotiations to avoid a conflict of interest in the transaction, but then there is an audio of Pique dividing the payment among the leaders in his company.
Barcelona and Pique featured in the Super Cup in 2021 but lost out to Real Madrid in the semi-final.
