Man United decided against hiring Pochettino for 2 key reasons
Erik ten Hag has won the race to become Manchester United's next permanent manager, as per ESPN FC, a tier-two source.
However, it was Mauricio Pochettino who initially emerged as the favourite to take over from Ralf Rangnick ahead of the 2022/23 season.
Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League Round of 16 exit and Pochettino's inability to get the best out of his squad 'did not help his case' with the job.
Additionally, PSG would've held out for a £15 million compensation package for the Argentine while appointing Ten Hag from Ajax reportedly costs just £1.7 million.
