Man United approached Tuchel before finalising Ten Hag agreement

Manchester United's interest in Thomas Tuchel was genuine, according to Bild, a tier-two German source.

The Red Devils approached the Chelsea manager before making a decision to finalise an agreement with Erik hen Hag.

However, the German told Man United that he would like to continue at Chelsea despite all the uncertainty around Stamford Bridge.

Ten Hag is now believed to be close to agreeing a contract with the Red Devils as they look for a permanent replacement for Ralf Rangnick.
