Klopp believes Liverpool will need 'absolutely insane' perfection to win EPL
Jurgen Klopp said that the draw against Man City does not mean much as that was the only game Liverpool could afford to draw.
“That’s probably right,” said Klopp. “Nothing changed for us, we knew in January if we wanted to win it we had to win 18 games. If there’s one we can draw it was today. We drew. Now let’s see.
“We have two massive games now, Benfica on Wednesday and City again on Saturday and after that it really starts when we have to be ready for our derbies. It’s actually cool, it’s good. We are where we want to be, we are close to an incredible side, my boys showed today that we are really, really good as well.
“We have to be pretty much as close to perfection as somehow possible to win seven Premier League games, which is absolutely insane but that’s obviously the only way to beat this team. If it’s enough because we don’t know that, City could win all their games.
“I’ve said a couple of times, if you don’t have luck in life then you’re screwed. We had the situation three years ago when we were a point behind, but it wasn’t a point, it was actually millimetres - 17 here (against Liverpool) and I think 15 at Burnley (for City).
"That’s the situation. We have no influence on that.
“We all know situations where you need I don’t think luck with referee decisions but at least right decisions, and that’s something we can’t influence.”
