Antonio Cassano: Cristiano Ronaldo should 'pray' and say 'thank you' to Karim Benzema
Speaking to Bobo TV, Antonio Cassano said: "Cristiano Ronaldo has to pray in the morning and say, 'Thank you, Karim Benzema, that you played with me'.
"Ronaldo scores and will always score, but he's a different player; Benzema is a goalscoring centre forward.
"But he's also Zinedine Zidane, he's a number nine, ten and a nine and a half. In football, there are not only titles and goals.
"Zidane scored few goals, but he is one of the greatest in history. Goals are useful, titles are useful, but they are not the fundamental things."
Benzema has emerged as a key attacking player for Real Madrid following Ronaldo's exit in 2018 after playing in the Portuguese's shadow for years.
This season, the 34-year-old striker Frenchman has scored hat-tricks against Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea in the Champions League playoffs.
