AC Milan to get huge ‘€300m transfer budget’ after €1.18bn takeover goes through
The sale of AC Milan to Bahrain-based investment fund – InvestCorp - should be completed later this week, as per Reuters.
The estimated buy-out clause to be paid to Elliot Management Corporation (Milan’s current owners) is €1.18bn, which also includes the club’s debt being wiped out.
Doing so will make the Italian giants one of the richest clubs in Europe and InvestCorp will also be ready to heavily fund the club.
As per RMC Sport, Milan could have a transfer budget of as much as €300m in the summer.
The new Bahrainian owners want to see them become one of the best in Europe again and will invest big in the club.
Milan are currently fighting hard for the Serie A title and are on top of the league, two points ahead of Inter Milan – who have a game in hand.
