Xavi: 'Araujo is the player who has improved the most since our arrival'

"Ronald Araujo the player who has improved the most since our arrival at Barcelona. He's improving a lot with the ball," Xavi said after the Elche game.

"He is daring, and today he had the freedom to go out with the ball. He was directing and organizing the play, and even played as a midfielder at times.

"In terms of defensive ability, we all know that Araujo is one of the best in the world."

Araujo has been a key starter under Xavi, having already played 30 matches this season. The coach has even used him in unusual positions like at right-back and left-back.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old's contract at Barca expires in 2023, and the talks regarding a renewal aren't going too well.
