UFC star Conor McGregor says he's interested in buying Chelsea
UFC fighter Conor McGregor has expressed an interest to buy Chelsea amid reports that Roman Abramovich wants to sell the club.
He tweeted a post with a picture of a WhatApp chat where he has written: “Chelsea for sale £3bn. Let’s buy it.”
McGregor also wrote in the caption: “I wish to explore this @ChelseaFC.”
The former UFC featherweight champion has a net worth of about $200m, which is nowhere close to the £3bn-£4bn Roman is asking to sell Chelsea.
Conor is probably joking around with his ‘interest’ to buy Chelsea and will need a lot of investors to even make a good enough bid for the club.
He has, in the past, even shown interest to buy Manchester United but never really went through with his words.
