Thomas Tuchel admits Romelu Lukaku 'does not like' current Chelsea role

"Romelu fights for it like everybody else. This is what we need. He is as positive as can be," Thomas Tuchel told a press conference ahead of the Norwich game.

"He does not like the situation, nobody does. He handles it very professionally. I try to do my best to be respectful and supportive like for everybody else.

"Of course, it is not easy in the moment for him, but he is a member of the team, an important member of the team."

Lukaku appears to be behind Kai Havertz in the pecking order as it stands. He started only one of Chelsea's last four games, an FA Cup game with Luton Town when he scored.

The Belgian's second spell at Chelsea has been quite problematic even before his scandalous interview with Sky Italia - now, he faces a real threat of becoming the most expensive bench player in the world.
