'They've got to live in real world': Government says Chelsea can't return to normality
Chelsea find themselves in a dramatic situation after the Premier League's decision to remove Roman Abramovich as the club's director.
The Blues are under a transfer ban, cannot sell tickets and merchandise and have caps imposed on their matchday expenses.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea seek to change the current restrictions in order to operate as normally as possible.
For example, they want to be able to sell tickets and to offer new contracts to current players.
However, the UK government does not seem willing to compromise.
"They’ve got to live in the real world. People are getting bombed and losing their lives in another country," an anonymous government source told the Telegraph.
