Pedri 9, Dembele 7.5: rating Barca players in Galatasaray win
Pedri — 9
The youngster dominated the game both offensively and defensively. Pedri was much more focused on the goal tonight, registering six shots in total. The 19-year-old was the one to put us back into the game as he beat two Galatasaray men in the box before sending the ball past Inaki Pena.
Pierre-Emerik Aubameyang — 8.5
Aubameyang had three shots tonight. One of those was a crossbar, and another was the game-winning goal. The Gabonese was very involved in the game, attempting 31 passes, and his pressing helped us return the ball on multiple occassions.
Sergio Busquets — 8
Barcelona with and without Busquets really are two different teams. Sergio had absolute control of the midfield tonight, helping us move the ball around in search of free spaces. Besides, the veteran recorded two key passes despite playing as a defensive midfielder.
Ousmane Dembele — 7.5
The game changed completely after Dembouz entered the pitch as our attacks became less predictable. The Frenchman took all the right decisions and ended up losing the ball only three times, which is an impressive accomplishment for an attacking player.
He wasn't involved in any of the goals but did register two key passes and two shots.
Eric Garcia — 6.5
After a poor first half, Eric redeemed himself later on. Garcia's job (besides defending) was to carry the ball forward, and he did that pretty well.
By advancing with the ball, he would pull Galatasaray players out of their positions, meaning that somewhere on the pitch, our players remained unmarked. This gave us an important advantage.
Others: Ter Stegen — 6.5, Dest — 7, Pique — 7, Jordi Alba — 7.5, Frenkie — 7.5, Adama — 6, Ferran Torres — 7, Gavi — 7, Araujo — 6.5, Lenglet — 6.5, Memphis — 7.5.
