Man United players face 25% pay-cut if club fails to qualify for Champions League

Manchester United will have an additional source of motivation when the Premier League gets back underway in April.

According to The Athletic, a tier-one source, 'many players' will get a 25 per cent pay-cut if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League.

It was revealed earlier this week by respected French outlet L'Equipe that four out of the five highest-earning players in the English top flight play for the Red Devils.

Ralf Rangnick's men are currently sixth in the Premier League table, four points behind fourth-placed Arsenal who still have a game in hand. Man United travel to the Emirates in April 23.
