'Jurgen Klopp brought Gangnam Style football to Liverpool. It was heavy metal': Ex-LFC defender

Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock confused everyone by claiming Jurgen Klopp brought ‘Gangnam Style football’ to the club after his arrival.

He said on BBC Match of the Day: “When Jurgen Klopp came into the Premier League, they played Gangnam Style football. Gangnam press. It was heavy metal.”

Of course, what Warnock might be trying to say was that Klopp brought his ‘Gegenpressing’ style to Anfield after arriving at the club in 2015.

Gangnam Style is the viral song from South Korean singer PSY that became viral almost a decade ago – mostly for its music video and unique dance moves.

Klopp used his ‘gegenpressing style’ to help Liverpool win the Carabao Cup on Sunday, the first domestic cup they’ve won in his reign.
