Chelsea 'could go bust in weeks' as Nike contemplate ending £540m sponsorship deal

The sanctions placed on Chelsea and their owner Roman Abramovich have left the club in a very difficult position.

As per Daily Mail, the club could become financially bust if their sponsors keep on ending ties with them.

Nike are contemplating walking away from their t-shirt deal signed in 2016, which could see the club lose a huge amount of £540m.

Shirt sponsors Three have also suspended their £40m-a-year agreement with Chelsea after the sanctions placed on them.

Chelsea are hoping to speak with UK government officials to lessen the impact of the sanctions amid fears they might not be able to finish the current season.

The Blues will not be able to renew any player contracts or buy any players as long as the sanctions are placed on them.
